Ingrid and I just returned from a great convention in Fargo North Dakota. The Northern Lights Convention is put together by its members consisting of professional photographers from North and South Dakota as well as Minnesota.

Ingrid and I came away with some great ideas and some new props and backgrounds that will soon be available in the studio. We will post some changes to the studio once they occur or put a call out for people interested in being our first clients for some great new sets.

We cannot wait to show you whats in store.

Artistic Impressions is looking for an artistic addition to our team. If you are wanting part time work, flexible hours, constant learning, and a fun environment, think about the posibility of joining our team. We are in need of someone to help out with all studio duties including assisting, photo retouching, customer care, order assembly and more.

The hours are flexible but may include the odd evening and some weekend hours.

We would just like to wish Kathryn a very Happy 8th Birthday! It was our pleasure to host your birthday party, it was alot of fun for us as well.

Artistic Impressions played host to Kathryn and nine of her friends for a great birthday party celebration. Professional makeup and hairstyling was followed up by a personalized glamour photo session for each girl.

A huge thank you once again to 2 Chicks & a Bag of Makeup for their expertise.

This evening we had the great pleasure of co-hosting a cake tasting with High Tea Bakery. We had over 100 people attend the event. Everyone had a chance to taste their potential wedding cakes. There were 9 flavours to choose from. What a great way to narrow down the flavours you like and don't like.

Those cakes look amazing! Everyone enjoyed tasting the delectable delights.

The flavours were: White Chocolate Strawberry Dream (pictured on the far right), Old Fashioned Banana Cake (that's the one with the chocolate icing), Carrot Pineapple Cake (this was the big hit of the night), Lemon Lover's Delight, Lemon Poppyseed Cake with Raspberry Preserves, Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch, Tropical Coconut Lime ( I heard this was also a crowd pleaser), Chocolate Raspberry Medley, and Butter Pecan Turtle Cake.

How do they ever decide??

The studio was packed with people ready to try all those amazing cakes. Owner Belinda Bigold and her team from High Tea Bakery are a real "treat"! O.k , I won't try to be clever anymore.

Grant was busy meeting with couples and showing them all of Megan and myself's work. No time for cake for us.

High Tea Bakery has also just opened in a new location in St. James on Portage Avenue just west of Assinaboine park. Ingrid and I were given the opportunity to play host to an excellent educational opportunity for professional photographers in manitoba. The PPOC-MB brought in photographer Kent Shirley from Oklahoma to present some great photoshop techniques and tricks. The seminar was held in our studio and it was a great success and as a result we will be launching some great new products in the next short while.
