We got a wonderful card in the mail just last week. It was such a nich surprise to hear from one of our wedding couples from 2002. It seems like so long ago, yet I remember the day very clearly.

They wrote to say Thank you for the great memories that we captured of their special day.

Thanks guys! It was great hearing from you...and congratulations on your son!

Well here it is...one of our new backdrops that we got at the convention a couple of weeks ago. I am so excited to have it at the studio.

I had the pleasure of photographing Karen and Dave yesterday. They wore the perfect clothes for the new background. Here is just a sampling of the images that we got. Thanks Guys...you look amazing!

The top two images are shot with the backside of the drop and it is totally cool. It looks even more amazing when I turn it into Black and White. The nex two are the front side of the back drop. The effect that was applied to this image is called "polaroid transfer". It's just one of the many ways you can change a great image into something fabulous!

Our next backdrop is being painted as we speak and I will post imags of it once it has arrived. I can't wait to get it here an shoot with it. Who knows...maybe you will be the first session with it?

Darryl Stewart, Head of the Herd at Ibex and the rest of his team, were the inovators and brains behind the clean up of the south Osborne underpass this past weekend. When Darryl asked us to contribute in any way to their cause, we could not help but get involved, considering all the hard work that the volunteers were all putting in.

St. Marys Nursery and Garden Centre, Barkman Concrete, Johnson Waste Management , and Ibex Payroll, were just a few of the many companies involved in the clean up festivities.

In addition it was Darryl's foresight to reach the goal of raising $25,000 for Habitat for Humanity.

From maternity to baby and child photography we love doing it all. Our studio has some great new props and backdrops available with more arriving all the time and most are geared towards children. Ingrid and I are working very hard on a couple of brand new sets as well, and they will be completed shortly.

If you would prefer to be on location, that is also just fine, we can work in the comfort of your home or out in a park or other locations of your choice, if you wish.

Speaking of locations, we are currently booking portrait sessions at lake Winnipeg beaches in July. If you are hoping to capture the kids or the whole family in photos at the beach, be sure to book your time soon. Sessions do book up quickly.

Ingrid and I just returned from a great convention in Fargo North Dakota. The Northern Lights Convention is put together by its members consisting of professional photographers from North and South Dakota as well as Minnesota.

Ingrid and I came away with some great ideas and some new props and backgrounds that will soon be available in the studio. We will post some changes to the studio once they occur or put a call out for people interested in being our first clients for some great new sets.

We cannot wait to show you whats in store.

If you are wanting part time work, flexible hours, constant learning, and a fun environment, think about the posibility of joining our team. We are in need of someone to help out with all studio duties including assisting, photo retouching, customer care, order assembly and more.

The hours are flexible but may include the odd evening and some weekend hours.
